Resin prices have risen!!!

General-purpose orthophthalic resin 270, double-cycle (DC) hand lay-up resin 270, artificial stone/quartz stone resin 230, pultrusion resin 250, winding structural layer resin 250, winding isophthalic lining resin 240, IPG type molding resin 240, DPG type molding resin 200. The price of raw materials has risen sharply, the cost of resin has increased rapidly, and the selling price has been increased by 300 yuan.

Affected by Sinopec's upward adjustment of the price of basic raw materials, the price of chemical raw materials has risen sharply this week, leading to a rapid increase in resin costs, and resin manufacturers have been forced to follow suit and raise prices. In the current situation of overall economic downturn and declining downstream demand, a significant increase in product prices is not a suitable time, and it is very easy to lead to market stagnation. For the unsaturated resin market, as the date of the preliminary anti-dumping ruling by the United States against Chinese quartz stone approaches, downstream quartz stone manufacturers are expected to begin to stop production next week. At this time, phthalic anhydride will increase its price synchronously due to the sharp increase in the price of orthophthalic raw materials, which will only lead to an increase in the price of quartz stone resin. The final result is that downstream quartz stone manufacturers will stop production in advance, leading to a sharp contraction in the demand for phthalic anhydride. From the current domestic market, the real estate market has shown signs of reversal, and the volume of house transactions in more and more cities has begun to decline sharply. Therefore, the demand for quartz stone will also decline month by month. On the other hand, the acceleration of infrastructure construction and the national decision to eliminate 1 million heavy trucks each year have brought benefits to the fiberglass market. However, due to the rapid increase in resin prices, downstream fiberglass plants are unable to quote to customers, which has also suppressed the demand for resin in the short term. Therefore, resin manufacturers are currently in a dilemma.
